Tonsils are Coming Out!

I have been so bad about posting these last 2 months. I cannot believe it has been that long. As to what we have been up to...guessing won't be too hard; yup that's right, being sick again and again. Well maybe not the entire two month span, but it sure seemed that way.

After several visits to the doctor it was determined that Sara's tonsils need to come out. She has had numerous (8++) documented cases of throat infections just within the last year; so she more than meets the criteria...not to mention all the school she has missed. Granted it is only preschool, but could you imagine if it wasn't.

Tomorrow, Friday the 13th, is the big event to have them removed. We are doing our best to make sure she is properly hydrated and are feeding her whatever she wants to eat today. She is fully aware of what is happening and is taking it all in stride. Her biggest upset is knowing that she cannot have breakfast or even water for that matter in the morning. "I will starve Mama", she cried.

Thankfully we have her G.G. here visiting. G.G. surprised Sara Tuesday afternoon by flying to Anchorage from sunny Arizona. She will be spending the next week with us to help comfort Sara during her recovery time. Like everyone I am hoping for a speedy recovery so we can get back to our normal routine of having fun and playing with friends.
