Our little girl has made some milestones this week with her extra curricular activities. In just one week Sara has moved up to Level 8 in Swimming and also graduated to Level 3 with Ice Skating. In swimming she has mastered her freestyle, backstroke and breast stroke; and from here on out will be swimming in the deep end/lap area of her pool at West High School. It is just amazing to watch her. I will try to make a video of her next lesson so you all can see how far she has come.
In Sara's other favorite activity, Ice Skating, she graduated to Basic Level 3 and is just loving it. Although during her 1/2 hour free skate session she took multiple falls and will be sure to have some nice bruises to show for it on her elbows, knees and hip. Never crying once she just kept getting up and skating...sort of like the energizer bunny.
In two more weeks is the Fur Rondy Ice Show in which Sara will be featured as a Zebra in the Safari segment of the show, entitled 'Passport to the World". It has been a long month of constant rehearsals and Sara looks forward to every one of them. Bill and I were not sure of Sara participating in this yearly event; but all in all it has been a great learning experience for her and we know it will be something she will remember forever. My wonderful sister-n-law came to my aid when it came time to making Sara's costume. I hope to post pictures within the next week or so to show off this awesome costume. Thank you so much Sarah for all your help. There is no way I would have been able to pull this off without your wonderful gift of creativity.
Congratulations again to our precious daughter on a fabulous week of achievements. We are so proud of you.
