Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

What a wonderful Christmas & New Year we had this year.  Christmas was spent at home this year.  We had family over on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts and share some wonderful food and company.  We had the Whalen Clan over as well as Becky, Justin, Aurora and even Rick who came down from Fairbanks.  The evening was a blast.  My sister-n-law, Sarah, helped cook an outstanding dinner in which the main attraction was an unbelievable beef roast.  It was so good, there were hardly any leftovers.  Thank you Sarah for all your help.

All the younger cousins, enjoyed running around and playing.  Despite being all cooped up due to freezing temperatures they all played extremely well with one another and had a great time. 

Thankfully Sara did not wake up too early Christmas morning so we were able to get out of bed slowly, have some much needed coffee, tea and a small breakfast and then it was straight into the mayhem of opening the gifts.  Sara was surprised with the first gift she opened, which was an acoustic guitar from her Mom & Dad.  She immediately started playing with it and continues to play with it daily since she got it.

New Years Eve we went to my brothers' house.  There Sean and Sarah had some nice food laid out in addition to providing the highlight of all entertainment...an awesome Bon-Fire in the back yard.  The girls loved it.  It was so nice that we were able to stand outside on a very pleasant warm and wind-free evening and enjoy a wonderfully warm fire.  We all had a blast and already look forward to next New Years Eve.
