Achievement Award!!!

Yesterday we were notified by Sara's school that she would be receiving an "Achievement Award" and were asked to join the school during their assembly today.

It was so Cool. Bill and I got there early, got some good seats. The kids started to roll in...and as soon as Sara saw us you could see her eyes get real big and that brain of hers starting to ponder as to why her parents were there.

As the principal began to talk he explained that these "Achievement Awards" are given every quarter to various students for their achievements and hard work observed in class.

Sara's award was in Technology (computer class) for outstanding behavior and for great effort. We are so proud of her. Of course, for Sara she was not quite sure what was going on. It is of course a lot to take in.

All the kids receiving awards were called individually, had to shake the Principals' hand and then their teachers' hand who was presenting their award; which of course was followed by applause. It was a really neat moment for our little girl...and us too.
