Notes From Alaska: Busy, Sad, Happy and such....

It has been awhile since my last Blog. As usual we have been busy with our small family schedules, but emotions have been heightened as well. Without going into all the details we received some bad news about our GG in Arizona. Thankfully her spirits are amazing and she is surrounded by wonderful friends and all sorts of support. In fact, right now Bill is visiting her and is busy to work in helping out around their house and keeping her company. With luck the three of us can plan for another visit sometime early this summer.

In the mean time February has a few big "dates" to remember. Bill celebrated his 50th birthday...YES 50! Hard to believe, being that he certainly does not act like the typical 50-year old. Instead of throwing a large party he opted for me taking him downtown and spending the night at the Captain Cook Hotel. We were very fortunate to get one of our babysitters to spend the night with Sara; which she loved.

While downtown, we relaxed as much as we could; even treated ourselves to massages which were amazing. I also arranged for a special cake to be brought to us while we were dining in one of there restaurants. Our very close friends Spoon & Jerry were able to join us which made the evening even more special. We drank, ate great food and just enjoyed each others company. Hope you had a great B-Day honey.

The other significant day this month was our 13th Wedding Anniversary which is on Valentine's Day. Again it is hard to believe that it has been 13 years since our wedding...time sure does fly. Unfortunately it was not the best of days. With emotions being high it turned out to be 'the' worst celebrated anniversary we have shared. I can only hope that next year will not even be in the same category and that major improvements will be made.
